Privacy Policy

This Policy applies to the online processing of personal information via Web sites operated by CSI Leasing, Inc. and its worldwide network of affiliates.

Effective date: November 1, 2012

INTRODUCTION

Your privacy is important to CSI Leasing, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively “CSI” or “we” or “our”). This statement discloses the information practices for CSI web sites, including what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used and with whom the information is shared. One of CSI’s top priorities is to provide outstanding services. In order to do this, we must collect, maintain and use certain personal and financial data about you and your activities with us. We recognize and respect your privacy concerns and expectations about how we use this information. We want you to know about our privacy policies and practices, and what we do to protect the data you share with us.

By visiting our Web site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by CSI as set forth in this Policy.

ANTI-SPAM POLICY

CSI does not tolerate spam and is committed to proper Web practices and full compliance with the CANSPAM Act of 2003 (15 U.S.C. §7701.) We do not sell or rent e-mail addresses to any unauthorized third party. This does not mean that we can prevent spam from happening on the World Wide Web. If you believe that you have received an unsolicited e-mail from us, please contact CSI (see address below) and we will investigate.

CHILDREN

This Web site is not intended for visitors under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from or about children, nor do we knowingly market our products or services to children.

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT FROM VISITORS

In general, you can visit CSI Web sites without telling us who you are and without giving any personal data about yourself. There are times, however, when we may need information from you. Personal data identifies an individual, for example by name, address, telephone number or e-mail address. We may collect the following types of data: (1) if you apply for a job, your name, address, references and employment history; (2) if you use this site to check the status of your account, your name, account number and other information, such as a password, to verify your identity; and (3) if you send us email or request information, your name, email address and any other personal data you supply in your message. If you tell us that you do not want us to use this information to make further contact with you beyond fulfilling your requests, we will respect your wishes. If you give us personal information about somebody else, such as a spouse or work colleague, we will assume that you have their permission to do so.

COOKIES

When you visit our Web sites, CSI may collect certain non-personal data by various means, one of which is “cookies.” A cookie is an alphanumeric string of text (a unique identifier) that our web-server stores in your computer by means of your web-browser. The cookie allows Web site operators to recognize your computer when you revisit a site. Cookies help to improve the use of the Web site, for example by providing quick login, and/or saving you from retyping information in a form. Cookies also allow Web sites to analyze aggregate traffic on the site, in order to streamline navigation and keep the content fresh for all visitors. You can configure your browser to reject cookies. Cookies do not contain personal data, nor can they read or transmit any data on your computer’s hard drive. The cookies used by CSI are categorized based on the International Chamber of Commerce UK Guide published in April 2012, and may include:

  • Strictly necessary cookies
  • Performance Cookies
  • Functionality Cookies

We do not use Targeting or Advertising Cookies. For more information on the cookies we use, please contact CSI. For more information on cookies generally, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org

OTHER DATA WE AUTOMATICALLY COLLECT

If you access our Web site, our web-servers automatically record data of a general nature. All web browsers transmit the IP address of the computer on which they are running (so that the web-server knows where to send the requested web page). For most users accessing the World Wide Web from a dial-up Internet Service Provider (ISP), the IP address will be different every time you log on. IP addresses may be used for various purposes, including to: (1) diagnose service or technology problems reported by our users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific company or ISP, (2) develop the most appropriate advertising based on geographic area or information derived from IP addresses, (3) estimate the total number of users visiting CSI from specific countries or regions of the world, (4) assist CSI to track visits to our Web site, and (5) help determine which users have access privileges to certain CSI Web site content.

HOW WE USE THE DATA WE COLLECT

We may use the data that you provide as follows: (1) if you apply for a job, to consider you for the position and to contact references; (2) if you check the status of your account, to respond to your inquiry; (3) if you send us email or request information, to reply to your request. We may also use the data that you provide to help us improve the content and function of this or other sites, to better understand our customers, to improve services, to enhance our marketing and promotional efforts, and to later contact you, electronically or otherwise, about services that we believe will interest you. If required by law, such communications will explain how to “opt out” of receiving future communications and/or will not be sent without the required consent. If you do not wish to receive such communications, simply tell us when you give us your personal information. You cannot opt out of receiving communications about your account, such as service announcements and administrative notices.

SHARING DATA

Absent a valid, fully executed Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement, CSI may share data that you provide under the following circumstances:
a. Affiliates and/or wholly-owned subsidiaries:

1. We may share your name, address and information about your transactions and experiences with us.

2. We may also share other personal data that you provide in order to provide you with information about news, products or services that may interest you

3. CSI is a global organization, with legal entities, business processes, management structures, and technical systems that cross borders. We may share your personal information within CSI and transfer it to countries in the world where we do business. Some countries may provide less legal protection for your information. In such countries, CSI will still handle information in the manner we describe here.

b. Agents and Service Providers: In order to establish, administer and manage our customers’ accounts, evaluate credit, provide customer service and benefits, process account transactions and account statements, conduct research and analysis, or process job applications, we may disclose personal data to companies and/or financial institutions that work with us to perform services or business operations on our behalf. We may also share personal data with companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, or with other financial institutions (including insurance companies) with which we have relationships.

c. Third Parties (Disclosures Permitted or Required by Law): In certain instances, we are permitted or even required to disclose your personal data to third parties. Examples of this type of permitted disclosure are reporting information about your transactions with us to credit reporting agencies, responding to regulators or auditors, protecting against fraud, or providing information in connection with proposed or actual business transactions involving our companies or accounts. We may also disclose your personal data to third parties when legally compelled to do so, or when we believe that such disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law, to enforce our terms of use, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CSI, its employees, customers, visitors to the site, and others. Please be aware that these disclosures may be permitted by law without your consent.

MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

Circumstances may arise where, whether for strategic or other business reasons, CSI decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize businesses in some countries. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of personal information to prospective or actual purchasers, or receiving it from sellers. It is CSI’s practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions.

ACCESS

You have the right to access (review, amend, correct or delete) your personal information by contacting CSI. Individuals are responsible for providing CSI with accurate and complete personal information and for contacting CSI if correction is required. Please note: we reserve the right to disallow unreasonable requests for access.

SECURITY

CSI uses reasonable measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, deletion, or alteration. However, email communications are not encrypted; therefore, you should not send any personal data by email.

PUBLIC AREAS

CSI does not control and is not responsible for other visitors’ treatment of information that you post on public areas of the site. For example, such information may be collected and used by others for their own purposes, including sending you unsolicited email.

LINKS

CSI Web sites may have hyperlinks to or pop-up windows from other Web sites. CSI is not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We urge you to review the privacy policy of any Web site that you visit.

CASE STUDIES

CSI Web sites may contain “case studies” describing scenarios where CSI customers benefited from CSI’s services and expertise. Because no two customers are alike, these case studies should only serve as examples of other customers’ experiences, and thus may differ from your experience.

SAFE HARBOR

CSI has certified its personal information practices with the U.S. Department of Commerce under the Safe Harbor Program to ensure that personal data collected from individuals in the EU is adequately protected when processed by CSI in the United States. CSI has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access and enforcement. You can view our Safe Harbor Policy.

NOTICES AND REVISIONS

CSI may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. You should periodically check the revision date at the top of this page to learn of any revisions. Your use of the Web site at any time is deemed acceptance of the Privacy Policy then in effect.
